LEARN HOW YOU CAN HAVE FUN KNITTING OR CROCHETING FOR A GOOD CAUSE!
Wednesday, January 29th from 10-11 AM
at the Kensington Public Library.
There’s a craze out there called Graffiti Knitting which is street art that employs colorful displays of knitted or crocheted yarn on things like trees, street signs, parking meters and even car antennas!
Last April Fools Day, Exeter awoke to beautiful knitted trees and signs throughout the downtown that were sponsored by local companies. This event was created to raise money for a local organization called Womenade of Greater Squamscott, which provides short term financial assistance to men, women and children in the SAU 16 school district and surrounding areas.
We would like to help Womenade this year by knitting and crocheting something in our town. Perhaps pick a book and create a yarn bomb either here at the Library or somewhere else in town based on the book.
