The TumbleBookLibrary is an online collection of animated, talking picture books. This summer we have a trial subscription. Please try it out and let us know what you think! The trial period ends Sept. 30, 2010. Call the Library for username and password information.

My daughter (age 5) loves the animated story books. We sat together for six of them tonight. There are early literacy and reading features (like seeing the text highlighted along with the narration) and of course, the kids think it is great to see the books come to life.

The average New Hampshire taxpayer contributes about $26 in taxes per year to fund public libraries and their services.1 But how much would they need to pay out-of-pocket if they purchased their books, movies and other library services in stores?

The NH Library Use Calculator is based on the spreadsheet developed by the Massachusetts Library Association and adapted for web use by the Maine State Library, the Chelmsford Public Library and the Chelsey Memorial Library.
