Story Time

tot-tales-story-timeHeld on Tuesdays at 10:30 and Thursdays at 1:00, Story time is geared towards children ages 2-5 (but all ages are welcome). Ms. Lindsey reads 2 books and does a craft with the children based on the weekly theme. Please call to sign up!

Story Time Rules

To make story time a happy, enjoyable experience, I ask for your cooperation in the following ways:

-Registration and Attendance is important! If you have not yet registered, please do so before coming. Please call 772-5022 if you cannot attend a particular day.

-Please be on time. Young children are easily distracted and late arrivals become the focus of interest.

-Please do not leave your child unattended at any time. We have a standing rule that children under the age of 9 must be accompanied by a guardian in the children’s room at all times.

-Visit with other parents before or after, but not during story time. It is so  important to set an example for the children to pay attention and not distract others.

-If your child has difficulty settling down, becomes restless of begins to cry, you should remove him/her from the area so as not to distract others.

-Please discuss story time with your child before coming, and tell them what behaviors are expected of them.

-Thank you for keeping all sick children (and parents) at home.

My main goal is for everyone to have an enjoyable experience and to further develop your child’s love of books and the library. Thank you for your cooperation.

-Ms. Lindsey, Children’s Librarian

*Updated May 28, 2014* – Story Time will conclude for the Summer the week of the 16th. We will be having a Teddy Bear picnic that week, including a snack, so please let Ms. Lindsey know of any allergies. Don’t forget your teddy or favorite stuffed animal!
