The Museum of Science Boston comes to Kensington August 14th at 10:00 and 11:30 am.This free event is part of the Library’s “Dream Big” Summer Reading Program. With their portable planetarium, Museum educators will take you on a tour of the solar system and beyond and provide tips on how you can navigate the night sky from your own backyard. The fun takes place at the Kensington Elementary School, but you must register at the Library for either the 10:00 or 11:30 show. Children younger than age 9 must have an adult present with them during the presentation. Call the Library at 772-5022 with any questions.

If you love to knit or want to learn how, join our Tuesday evening knitting group. The first meeting is Tuesday, March 20th at 6:30 pm. Starting in April, we will meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. Bring whatever project you are working on. Knitters of all levels of experience are welcome. This is not a class but we will learn from one another.
Beginning March 6th our Tuesday Preschool Storytimes will move from afternoons to mornings at 10:30 am. Storytimes develop early literacy skills through high quality picture books, games, crafts, and music. Children who come to storytimes discover that books and reading are fun. So sign up today for the Spring I session, which runs through April 18th, by calling 772-5022 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
