Eagle Project to Preserve the Records of Kensington NH

Sawyer Rogers of Kensington NH from Troop 322 (Exeter) chose scanning and uploading records of the Town of Kensington NH for the Kensington Public Library for his Eagle Project. The purpose of the project was to preserve the records and make them more accessible to the public through online access. The 1,346 pages of records include Births, Baptisms, Marriages, Deaths, Burials, and Parish, though not complete, the records scanned span the years 1719-1993. The most encompassing files are saved as searchable pdf made possible with Optical Character Recognition (OCR). This allows for an ease of access for those wishing to research these files, whether it is for the history of the town or their own genealogical research. All of the records online here are also paper-bound and stored at the Kensington Public Library.
